Jennifer Zoglman - Resource

Jennifer Zoglman

Resource/Special Education
Room: 126

Welcome to Special Education Resource! In the resource program, your child will be receiving specialized instruction to meet his/her IEP goals. I will be using research-based curriculum along with various multi-sensory and hands-on activities to review, re-teach, and/or reinforce concepts taught in the general education classroom. In addition, I will be using direct instruction to provide intensive intervention as appropriate to help maximize your child's success.

Behavioral support will be provided through direct services and/or consultation with the classroom teacher regarding behavior plans and strategies as needed.  In addition, I will work with students on organizational and study strategies to help them become effective learners.

Resource services may be provided through a variety of ways including: inclusion in the general education class, co-teaching, and pull-out in the resource room. I’ll be closely communicating with your child’s classroom teacher throughout the year to ensure your child’s success.

About Me

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, my family and I relocated to Arizona in 2008 and we love the sunshine! I have 2 active boys, ages 12 and 10 who love to play lacrosse, go bike riding and camping. I love animals (especially owls as evidenced in my classroom theme), enjoy traveling and reading a good book! As a special educator since 1998, I have worked extensively with children with various learning abilities. I have a BA in Special Education from Elmhurst College and MA in Education Leadership from Roosevelt University. I am trained in several research-based literacy programs such as the Wilson Language System and hold a reading endorsement.  I have also served as an Effectiveness Coach and Special Education Coordinator for districts across Arizona to evaluate, support and train first year teachers. In addition, I have published and created various learning resources as part of my company Astute Hoot. My passion lies with working with students and families. I love helping students reach their full potential.  Please consider me an advocate for your child at school. Feel free to contact me via email or phone: , 480-813-1240 x126, Room 126. I know your child will have a great year in the resource room!
