Welcome to the Mesquite Elementary School Library! We are a community based library with over fifteen thousand books for the children to read and enjoy. In the library, we have weekly library classes which includes story time and lessons based on genres and various authors. Children are also welcome to check out books during class or open check out times. This year we are implementing a Makerspace Think Lab once a month. The Makerspace will allow the children to use their imaginations to build, create, write and present. We are open before school (8:35 AM) for all family members and we welcome volunteers with open arms.

About Me

I have been in education my entire life! My Dad was a high school principal and my Mom was a beloved 2nd grade teacher. I was born and raised in Park Forest, Illinois and moved to Arizona for my first teaching job at age 22! I am married to a Gilbert Fire Fighter and have 22 year old twins who attended Mesquite Elementary School! Emily (daughter) is attending Wake Forest Medical School and Austin (son) is a Mechanical Engineer for Raytheon. My hobbies are hiking and being a children's librarian.
